The Board of AFBAL are hosting a lecture on Magnificence & Destruction (How King Henry VIII transformed England’s architecture) which will be given by Dr Kent Rawlinson, new Head of Collections at the RIBA, and then a lunch will follow in the private room at The Modern restaurant on Wednesday 2 April 2014.

RIBA Library Drawings and Archives Collection. Begun by Henry VIII in 1538, Nonsuch Palace was substantially complete at his death in 1547. It was demolished in the 1680s.
