Paul B. Bailey

Paul Bailey is a highly respected Connecticut-based architect whose work in historic preservation, adaptive reuse and affordable housing has won national recognition. Paul received a B.A. degree from Brown University and a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University’s School of Architecture. He has been principal of his eponymous architectural firm in New Haven since its founding in 1990 and remains actively involved in all phases of the firm’s programming, design, production and project administration activity. His work has been extensively published and has received numerous AIA, ASID and ALA design awards.
Paul’s work in architectural preservation has been especially noted. He has been recognized by multiple organizations including the New Haven Preservation Trust, Preservation Connecticut, the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, the Hartford Preservation Alliance and the Boston Society of Landscape Architects. His sympathetic addition to the historic Josiah Gibbs House in New Haven won a special award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. His work in housing has been recognized by multiple awards from the Connecticut Green Building Council.
